Mitchinson who graduated with BA(Hons) from Liverpool University in 2000 and previous to that worked as a veterinary nurse (VN). She wrote this her first novel in 2002 whilst working in the University of Liverpool Law Library part time. She now teaches part time annually on the Sci-Fi MA course at the Liverpool University.
